Bolivia is a landlocked country in central South America and is partly in the Andes. The land has a total area of 1,098,580 km². This area is approximately 158% of the area of Texas. There is no access to the open sea. There are direct national borders with the 5 neighbouring countries Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Peru. The distance between New York City and the Capital Sucre is about 6,710 km.Due to the critical financial situation, Bolivia is one of the heavily indebted poor countries.

Climate
The climate in BoliviaIn Bolivia, as in all equatorial countries, there is a tropical climate. Unlike in Europe or the USA, there is almost no difference between the seasons. The daylight hours vary little, and the temperature differences between summer and winter are also lesser. Depending on the season, the average daytime temperatures range between 23 and 27 degrees.
