Estonia is a country in the northern Baltic. The land has a total area of 45,340 km² and a total coastline of 3,794 km. This area is approximately 180% of the area of Maryland. The country has about 1,520 partially uninhabited islands. There are direct national borders with the 2 neighbouring countries Latvia and Russia.
