Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa on Lake Victoria. The land has a total area of 241,550 km². This area is approximately 60% of the area of California. There is no access to the open sea. There are direct national borders with the 5 neighbouring countries Congo (Dem. Republic), Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan and Tanzania.
