Hong Kong is a country in southern China and the Pearl River Delta. The small state has a total area of 1,110 km² and a total coastline of 733 km. This area is about 1.4 times the size of New York City. The country has 263 partially uninhabited islands in the open sea. China ist the only directly neighbouring country of Hong Kong.
