There are direct national borders with the 7 neighbouring countries Austria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine. The distance between New York City and the Capital Budapest is about 7,010 km.With an Human Development Index (HDI) of 0.845 Hungary counts as one of the high developed economies by UN-definition.
