The Kosovo is a landlocked country in the southeastern European Balkans. The land has a total area of 10,887 km². This area is approximately 104% of the area of Hawaii. There is no access to the open sea. There are direct national borders with the 4 neighbouring countries Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
